15 QUESTIONS WITH BRITNY FOX

LEAD SINGER TOMMY PARIS

CI: For those unfamiliar with Britny Fox, would you give Frehley.Net readers a brief history of the band?

TP: Go to www.britnyfox.net and click on history.  I have recanted the tale so many times my kidneys hurt.  Oh wait, that's the illegal prescription drugs.

CI:  The band has covered Shout It Out Loud by Kiss. Have you considered covering other Kiss songs and what made you choose that particular one?

TP:  It was all very random and spontaneous during rehearsals for the 2000 tour.  There are other Kiss songs we like and they're fun to play so maybe.

CI:  Who do you regard as your influences?

TP:  That's an infinite list.  Many you know.  Many you may never have heard of or expect me to be into.

CI:  Lately there has been a resurgence of 80's bands. Do you see this as an opportunity for Britny Fox to burst out into the mainstream again and gain a whole new fan base?

TP:  Maybe.

CI:  What input did Rikki Rockett and Zakk Wylde have on the Bite Down Hard album?

TP:  Zakk played a lead at the end of Six Guns Loaded and Rikki did a percussion break with Johnny on Midnight Moses.

CI:  What song will you sing on the Bon Scott Tribute Album?

TP:  Rock And Roll Damnation.

CI:  Perris Records seems as though it has a growing stable of musicians. How did Britny Fox become part of the Perris family?

TP:  Tom is way cool and our friend George who works with him hooked us up.

CI:  When will Britny Fox tour again and who will you tour with?

TP:  That's hard to say right now.

CI:  Does the band still keep in touch with Cinderella?

TP:  I believe so.

CI:  Have you found it easier or more difficult offering your music for purchase on the website?

TP:  It's another avenue.  My solo CD 2009 has sold incredibly well from the Internet and through mail order.  It was never intended to be an official release in it's current state, it just turned out that way and it started to get around out there, like my sister.  Currently, the 2009 CD is being shopped for a solo deal and I have a new band.  I'm still 100% in Britny Fox but in-between when we're all scattered, I'm concentrating on this.

CI:  How has your fan based changed over the years?

TP:  We have a lot of the fans from the past and a lot of new ones who have never heard of the band until 2001.

CI:  How has your music style changed over the years?

TP:  I've been influenced by a lot of life events and my song writing and singing have evolved. I can still sing all the stuff from the earlier CD's but I've developed some other areas of my voice.  With Britny Fox or with my solo group, the layout is pretty much the same though the styles of music and songs are a bit different: Turn it up really loud and go for it.

CI:  If the band could tour with anyone, who would it be and why?

TP:  Anyone who is cool.

CI:  Aside from Britny Fox, who would the band consider as the greatest band ever formed and why?

TP:  No idea.  There are many.

CI:  What would the band consider as the wildest tour experience over the span of the band's history?

TP:  That's top secret.
